SUMMER ROOFTOP PARTY
To celebrate summer I worked with Urban Outfitters to throw an unforgettable rooftop party at Laine Saccuzzo's Brooklyn apartment.
It's that time of the year again! Start a tally on how many times that one friend ruins the synchronized pool jump photo; place your bets on what fruit will be the most trendy (our vote is on grapefruit; pineapple and peaches have had their moment), and get your cameras ready because rope swing fail videos are at their peak, and matcha has never been more popular.
Read on to see how this get together went, because FOMO IS REAL!
Everyone knows food makes friends. Seriously, would you go to an event if there wasn't any food?
When living in New York City you can’t go wrong with pizza. Always delicious, little to no clean up, and you can spend 20 minutes discussing whether or not pineapple on pizza should be considered blasphemy.
We ordered our pizza from Artichoke and kept it classic with cheese and pepperoni. But no summer party is complete without burgers and fries so we threw a few in the mix to appease the hardcore carnivores.
Another favorite was the Disco Sipper Cups from Urban Outfitters. A swirly straw is a luxury that we all want and deserve. Perfect for any party.
If putting together a platter was an art form, (we think it is) then Laine Saccuzzo is a modern day da Vinci. She arranged this elaborate spread that made eating healthy appealing.
You can never have too many pillows. When lounging, more is always better!
We used an array of big floor pillows, several throw pillows and even added some rugs, comforters, and tapestries, all from Urban Outfitters.

In a society where the selfie reigns supreme, we always love to have at least a couple of Fujifilm Instax cameras for everyone to have fun and take photos with... because “pics or it didn’t happen.”

When the sun went down, globe lights were the perfect addition to keep the night's festivities going.
We aren't Ellen, but we sure do love a good game of Heads Up (not sponsored, but - hey want to sponsor us?). And since most of us were 90's kids we were feeling nostalgic and played the 90's trivia category.
To end the night on a high note we watched an 80's classic movie, "The Goonies".
All you need is a projector, a loud enough bluetooth speaker, a white sheet, and an extension cord long enough to plug into an electrical source.
